Announcements & Events

  • Pumpkin Book Project Pumpkins (due October 23rd): During the last two weeks in October, fourth graders will participate in a Pumpkin Book Character Project. Each student will select a high quality picture book or chapter book to study.  They will choose a character from their selected book to write about and represent on a pumpkin! We will be designing and decorating the pumpkins in the classroom.  Parents are invited to see our pumpkin display on Friday October 30th at 11:45am.  After this presentation, pumpkins will be sent home with students. In order to make this process a success, we need pumpkins. If you are able to donate a pumpkin to this project, please drop it off in the classroom or sent it with your student.  We would appreciate small or medium-sized pumpkins or squashes that students can carry on their own.  The Dollar Tree has foam pumpkins available that would work as well. Pumpkin Book Project Example Videos, available HERE. If you are unable to obtain a pumpkin, please let me know. We have already received a few extra pumpkins! Thank you Marjorie!
  • Field Work Overnight: On Wednesday November 4th & Thursday November 5th, we will be traveling to Cape Disappointment, Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, Astoria Column, and Fort Clatsop. In order to make this trip a success we need chaperones! If you are interested/available to join us on this overnight trip, please let me know via email OR sign up atVolunteerSpot
