On Monday 2/29, students will be assessed on ALL of the first 30 states._Students are encouraged to (1) create flashcards and quiz themselves (2) practice spelling 5 times for each word (3) write spelling sentences using the correct spelling of each state. Electronic Copy, available here
- Binder/Reading Log: In order to help students develop the skill of responsibility. They will be asked to transport their binder back and fourth to school. This means students need to take their binder home every day and return it to school the next morning. Binders will NOT go home over the weekend. In order to help with accountability, students will be asked to complete a Daily Reading Log. Reading Logs will be checked in and shared with Becky every morning.
Events/Support Opportunities
- This Week: OBOB City View Tournament: The friendly City View OBOB battle will be on Friday, February 26th in the City View Community Room. We will need many volunteers (score keepers, time keepers, score runners, team coordinators, cheerleaders, etc) to make this event a success. If you are interested/available to help from 9-11, please let me ([email protected]) or Melinda know.
- Next Week: Read Across American/Dr. Seuss's Birthday. Next week fourth grade students will participate in a reading-heavy week to celebrate our love of reading and Dr. Seuss's Birthday. During this week we would also LOVE some guest readers. Guest Readers will be asked to bring in their favorite picture book and read it aloud to the class.
