Student Led Conferences (sign up here)
One of the principles of Expeditionary Learning includes the concept of student-engaged assessment in education because we believe it builds student ownership of learning, drives achievement, and focuses students on reaching standards-based learning targets. Student Led Conferences are an opportunity for students to reflect on their learning with the support of their family.
Families are invited to SIGN UP for a time on Wednesday (5/25) or Thursday (5/26) in order to participate in this process. You may sign up electronically, HERE

Homework (due Monday)
With the end of the year approaching, I want to try a new homework model; one that still allows students to build developmentally appropriate skills; but one that will also encourage creativity and a love of learning.
Everyday students are expected to complete at least 30 minutes of reading and 30 minutes of exercise. However, they must also PICK TWO daily challenges. These challenges range from helping with dinner and house-related chores to playing games with family members and a 24-hour no screen challenge. As always, any feedback is welcomed! Please feel free to comment below OR email me directly at [email protected]
