Homework (due Friday 2/12)
- Science Fair, Step #2: Hypothesis: Last week, the majority of students turned in their Science Fair Questions. This week, students will receive their NEXT STEPS Science Fair Packet (the last packet in this process). The NEXT STEPS Science Fair Packet, contains all the steps students need to complete in order to be successful in this year's Science Fair. Need inspiration? Check out: Science Buddies
- US States Spelling List: This week in addition to Science and Reading homework, students will be asked to memorize the correct spelling of 10 states. This week we are focusing on states in the Northwest Region: Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, Alaska. Students are encouraged to (1) create flashcards and quiz themselves (2) practice spelling 5 times for each word (3) write spelling sentences using the correct spelling of each state. Electronic Copy, available here
- Binder/Reading Log: In order to help students develop the skill of responsibility. They will be asked to transport their binder back and fourth to school. This means students need to take their binder home every day and return it to school the next morning. Binders will NOT go home over the weekend. In order to help with accountability, students will be asked to complete a Daily Reading Log. Reading Logs will be checked in and shared with Becky every morning.
